This session will discussion neuroanatomy and neuropathophysiological outcomes associated with TBI, how brain damage impacts overall functioning and the role of neuroplasticity.​

This session will discuss the physical, psychosocial, and cognitive-communicative symptoms of mild TBI/concussion, symptom overlap, and methods for applying the ICF model the assessment and plan of care for persons with mTBI/concussion.

This session will focus on mTBI/concussion among combat-sport athletes. The unique mechanics and neuropathophysiology of brain injury associated with combat sports will be discussed and the challenges that lead to barriers in care.
